    Homecoming Game

    The Long Beach City College football Homecoming Game against the Chaffey Panthers was a wild one on a windy Saturday afternoon at Veteran's Stadium in front of almost 1,000 in attendance.The game started off slow, then Chaffey dominated for 3 quarters, then the Vikings rallied furiously, but in the end Chaffey would find a way to emerge victorious 35-30 over the Vikings.

Football Team

LBCC football players are preparing for this season, practicing four to five hours daily. Players are encouraged to stay on top of their education in hopes of transferring to a university. LBCC football Coach Mike Reisbig, said, “All players are here because either they didn’t get their work done or done at University.” He guides them to make sure they succeed at LBCC to move forward in their education.     Beginning Jan.19, LBCC will officially be a smoke-free campus. College transportation vehicles and any district owned facilities will be off limits as well. The ASB’s proposal has been under consideration for months and the Board of Trustees unanimously voted to approve it.
