SUBJECT: Vice President Academic Affairs Recruitment
I have made the decision to hire Dr. Gaither Loewenstein as our next Vice President of Academic Affairs and will present my recommendation to the Board of Trustees at their next meeting January 24, 2012.
Dr. Loewenstein comes to us with a wealth of knowledge and experience and will be an excellent addition to the LBCC team. His resume is attached.
I am excited to have him get started helping lead the college forward and work with faculty and staff on implementing the Promise Pathways Initiative. Dr. Loewenstein will assume the duties of the Vice President of Academic Affairs on March 1, 2012. I hope that you will all join me in welcoming him.
