On Thursday Nov. 13, LBCC will be participating in the Great California ShakeOut. The purpose of the ShakeOut is to practice earthquake response in the event of an emergency, beginning at 10 a.m. No signals will be given, however, buildings A,E,F,G,H and P at the LAC will be evacuated.
In a May 16 message to his colleagues, LBCC Superintendent-President, Eloy O. Oakley communicated a reorganization plan to, "effectively align the college's resources and talent to best support the goal of improving student success and enhancing the learning environment…"
In the same message, Oakley said the intentions of the reorganization are, "not intended to displace any faculty or classified employees.
