On Thursday and Friday, Nov. 6-8 at 8 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m., the Black Box Studio Theater (H103) will be hosting a trip back to 1890 when immortality and promiscuity were taboo, now performed in it's original version at LBCC, Bram Stoker's "Dracula."
Tickets will be $7 for ståudents, seniors, staff and $10 for the general public.
Sparse attendance and technical difficulties with the sound equipment didn't deter the four comics who performed from causing laughs and raising a few bucks for LBCC's men's basketball program in the Hall of Champions Gym on Friday, Oct. 24.
While the show was delayed for 30 minutes, DJ Larry Martinez entertained the more than 100 people at the event by playing some old school R&B during the Laugh Out Loud comedy fundraiser hosted by former Vikings player Vic Campos.
In the hallway outside Room Q113 at the LAC, anticipation and nervous energy filled the air as a large group of dancers stretched and rehearsed in preparation for the bi-annual Dance Showcase on Tuesday, Oct. 28.

LBCC celebrated the start of spirit week on Monday, Oct. 27. One of the events was the Kiss-an-iPod contest, which registered contestants a week before and awarded each winner with an iPod Nano.
Other competitions included pie eating, root beer chugging, partner egg tossing and a three-way relay race that required each member of a team to complete one of three tasks; the first member unfolded and put on a frozen T-shirt, the next ate ten hot wings and the last fished out three sausages from a bowl of gelatin to complete the course.
The annual Dia De Los Muertos Festival on Sunday, Nov. 2 at the Museum of Latin American Art featured an altar contest, dance and music performances, a costume contest and various workshops, all free of charge.
Dia de Los Muertos, or Day of the Dead, is a traditional Mexican-American celebration that commemorates the lives of dead loved ones.
