Men and women take third

The men finished third among six teams. El Camino won the event and Cerritos took second. Bryan Brahman took first place in the men's javelin throw. Vannie Prudhomme won the men's 110- meter high hurdles race. His time was 14.39 seconds.
Marquon Jackson won the men's triple jump and Bobby Workman won the men's 400- meter hurdle race.
On the women's side, LBCC placed third as well, with seven teams competing. Cerritos won the meet. El Camino took second. The Vikings up-ended Pasadena, Los Angeles Trade Tech, L.A. Southwest and L.A. City.
LBCC freshman Latonya Estrin won the women's 200- meter race. She completed the race with a time of 25.06 seconds.
Estrin, Sakoya Daley, Alexandria Zamra and Kianda Beard won the women's 4-x-100- meter relay race.
Women's head coach Karen Vigilant said, "We're going to be competitive this season. We don't particularly excel in on event, but collectively, I feel this team is a unit that can accomplish a lot. I expect us to fare well at our next few meets."
