It was then that decided he would join the military, two years before the "War on Terror," also known as the Iraq War. Many students like Hale come out of high school not knowing where life will take them: some go to college, some work.

The Cal Poly men's basketball team began its season the right way by winning its first two games against Vanguard University and Westmont College.

The Broncos' season began against Vanguard on Nov. 18 with a 54-43 win.

The win was followed by another dominant showing this past Saturday with a 77-62 victory over Westmont.
